Dolpo is a restricted area and needs a special permit and only groups with organised trek from a registered agent are allowed. The trek offers interesting people, places, villages, valleys and serene forest of pines, oaks and Rhododendrons with numerous high passes over 3500m. demands a lot of stamina.

This is one of the great adventurous trek to the mysterious land where the pre-Buddhist Bon-Po religion is still in practice. The recent Oscar nominated movie CARAVAN (HIMALAYA as known in the western countries) was also shot here.
